Torch Award for Ethics
The following criteria must be met and maintained throughout the Torch Award process:
- Must be in business a minimum of 3 years.
- The headquarters location is located in BBB serving the Western Michigan service area.
- Remain in good standing with the BBB. For businesses, you must achieve and maintain a “B” or higher rating and not have unresolved complaints. Non-profits must meet BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

At Sharp, the commitment to protecting what matters most doesn’t stop at providing the highest quality roofing materials and installation. We’re also committed to strengthening and building up our communities thru personal investment!
As an Award Winning Roofing Contractor, partnered with GAF, the leading roofing materials company in North America, we’re proud to help Habitat for Humanity put roofs over the heads of families in need of decent, affordable housing! At Sharp, we support Habitat’s philosophy of helping to provide a hand up, not a handout, to people and families!
Together with their volunteers, Habitat has constructed or repaired more than 800,000 houses. Many Habitat volunteers are everyday people, but there’s also a need for construction professionals—that’s where the Sharp Team comes in!

GAF President’s Club Awards
The GAF President’s Club Awards distinguish roofing contractors dedicated to premier service, reliability and performance for their residential or commercial customers, and are announced at the annual GAF WealthBuilder Conference and Expo.
GAF Master’s Elite Certification
Being a GAF Master Elite Certified Contractor means that roofer had to go through a higher screening process and training to make sure they were up to GAF standards (the highest in the country). Only 2% of roofers in North America are invited to become GAF Master Elite Contractors.

I enjoy planning, organizing, and I am just a little OCD…. Ok, if my daughter has a puzzle out and it is undone, I have to do it before I can put it away to make sure ALL the pieces are there!

I joined Sharp’s construction sales team in 2017, and in 2020 I became a real estate agent. I love working at Sharp because everyone has a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction unlike any other company I’ve worked for. I love having the opportunity, each day, to serve others! Sharp lets me do this through the ability to partner with others on their home and business projects. My wife Stacie and I have been married for over 10 years, and we have 5 children plus a dog. Raising 5 children occupies most of my time outside of work, but I also enjoy reading, running, hiking, and serving my church.
Fun Fact: In college, I studied culinary arts and worked as a chef for several years.

I have worked in construction off and on for the past 20 years. I became a licensing residential builder in the State of Michigan in 2018 and I started working for Sharp Construction in the fall of 2019. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Sharp Construction is a wonderful place to work. I love the family feeling that we have here at Sharp. Everyone helps everyone as we strive to take care of our customers.
I am passionate about being active in my wife and kids' lives. I have been married to my wife Becky for almost 12 years and we have 5 children Cleton, Weston, Remington, Octavia and Nora Jo. I love my family and my favorite things to do is to watch my kids play sports (baseball & basketball). I also enjoy spending time at our hobby farm where we have 2 dogs, a cow, 3 pot belly pigs, chickens, roosters, and a duck.
On my time off, I love to travel to Florida to escape the Michigan cold and to hang out with our best friends Phil, Jessie, and Sharks. I enjoy going to the beach both our Great Lakes and the Ocean with the Sharks. Last year I had the opportunity to go free-diving in the Atlantic Ocean with my best bud Phil and 20+ Bull Sharks. If you didn’t notice already...I really like Sharks!
My favorite saying is: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Except for Sharks, Sharks will kill you.

I was born and raised in Hudsonville, MI and am blessed to call West Michigan my home. In August of 2020 I married the love of my life, Jessica. I love God, Family, Bow Hunting, Golfing, Hiking and Meeting new people! The reason I love working at Sharp is because I am passionate about serving people. Bringing southern charm to the Sharp Team is our Production Manager Andrew Story! Moving to West Michigan from Houston Texas four years ago, Andrew brings variations of experience to his title as a Production Manager here at Sharp. Having began his career in Grand Rapids as a Realtor Andrew began his work in Project Management after discovering his love of combining servanthood of clients and the physical aspect of seeing a project unfold start to finish and the joy it brings a valued customer. With his focus on our exterior remodeling division, we are grateful to have him on board to serve you! Andrew and his Wife Melissa are very excited to have recently moved into the Zeeland area and are enjoying all that our area has to offer. Passions and focuses are intensely in their Christian faith, love for people, and joy of living life to its fullest! Being an outdoor enthusiast as well, Andrew enjoys biking, hunting, fitness activities, and all things active. Excited to make an impact in the lives of our team and our clients, we are excited to have Andrew on staff to provide you the best Production service that can be offered!

Dave is a longtime friend of Ryan Spencer (Owner). He and his wife Janice have been married for 30 years and have lived in West Michigan since 1997. Dave has been actively involved in his church's ministry for the last 19 years. Each Sunday he drives a bus, to pick up children and families from all over the Holland community, and bring them to his church. In his free time, you can find Dave in his workshop where he enjoys building things.
With over 20 years of construction experience, he plays an important role on the team by helping to ensure the timely execution of each job. We can count on Dave, he is consistent. He's always there, always on time, and always working hard. When asked why he loves his job, he responded: “The people you work with are the most important part of any job. My favorite part of working for Sharp is the team, I enjoy working with each team member.”
Fun Fact: Dave’s favorite food is pizza! His favorite pizza toppings are pineapple and ham.
